Terms of Service

These Terms of Service (the “Terms”) govern your use of the recipe management app “recipe-box” (the “Service”) provided by NK Krypton Inc. (“we”, “us”, or “the Company”). By signing in to or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

The Service lets you save and organize recipes as your own personal recipe book, with features such as serving-size conversion and a cooking mode. It includes AI-powered import from text, URLs, PDFs, and photos, as well as a share-link feature. The Service is designed for your personal, private use.

• You can sign in with email verification (one-time code) or with your Google account.
• Your account is for your personal use only and may not be transferred to or shared with any third party.
• If you are a minor, please use the Service with the consent of a parent or legal guardian.

The Service is currently provided free of charge. If we introduce paid plans in the future, we will announce them in the app in advance, and no fees will be charged without your explicit subscription.

• Rights to the recipes, photos, and notes you save (“User Content”) belong to you or the respective rights holders.
• We handle User Content only to the extent necessary to provide, maintain, and improve the Service (storage, display, backup, display via share links, etc.).

• Rights to recipes and photos imported from web pages, books, PDFs, and other sources belong to their respective rights holders. Import and save such content only within the scope of private use in your own recipe book.
• Do not use the share-link feature to publish or redistribute third-party works (text, photos, etc.) without the rights holder’s permission.
• Where content has an original source, the Service is designed to preserve and display attribution (such as the source URL). Do not intentionally falsify source information.
• Rights holders may contact us through the contact listed in Section 16, and we will respond, including by removal where appropriate.

• When you use AI import, your input is sent to the API of Anthropic PBC (USA) for analysis (see our Privacy Policy).
• The accuracy of AI analysis results (ingredients, quantities, steps, etc.) is not guaranteed. Please review and correct the content before saving.

You must not:

• violate any law or public order and morals;
• infringe the copyright, portrait rights, privacy, or other rights of any third party;
• gain unauthorized access, use another person’s account, or impersonate others;
• access or import content in bulk by automated means (bots, scripts, etc.) or circumvent usage limits;
• reverse engineer, copy, or resell the Service; or
• interfere with the operation of the Service or engage in any other conduct we reasonably deem inappropriate.

• When you create a share link, anyone who knows the link can view that recipe without signing in. Please handle share links with care.
• You can revoke a share link at any time. We may also disable shares that violate these Terms.

• We may temporarily suspend all or part of the Service due to maintenance, failures, or the status of external services (database, AI, hosting, etc.).
• If we make material changes to or terminate the Service, we will endeavor to give reasonable advance notice in the app and, upon termination, to provide a way for you to export your data.

• You may request deletion of your account at any time via the contact in Section 16. Upon deletion, data associated with your account will be erased.
• We may suspend or delete your account without prior notice if you violate these Terms.

• The Service is provided “as is”, and we do not warrant that it is free from defects in fact or in law (including safety, accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose).
• We do not guarantee the accuracy or safety of the content of saved recipes (ingredients, quantities, cooking times, allergens, storage instructions, etc.). Cooking and eating are at your own judgment and risk, including checks relating to allergies and food safety.
• We are not responsible for disputes arising between you and third parties, such as source websites or viewers of your share links.

Except in cases of our willful misconduct or gross negligence, our liability to you in connection with the Service is limited to direct and ordinary damages, and the total amount shall not exceed the total fees you paid to us in the preceding 12 months (or JPY 1,000 if you use the Service free of charge). Where the Consumer Contract Act of Japan or other mandatory laws apply, this section applies to the extent permitted by such laws.

We may amend these Terms in accordance with Article 548-4 of the Civil Code of Japan (modification of standard terms) where the amendment conforms to the general interest of users or is otherwise reasonable. Material changes will be announced in the app in advance, with the effective date specified.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. Any dispute arising in connection with the Service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tokyo District Court as the court of first instance.
